Exhibited at the 17th Architecture Venice Biennale, the Biennale Bedroom is an interactive exhibit within the Spanish 'Uncertainty' Pavilion.
Visitors are encouraged to draw freeform bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms, which then get populated with furniture and added to a massive, anarchic city, built on everyone's previous drawings.
The exhibit is intended not just as a proof of concept for an apartment layout algorithm, but as a provocation, looking to raise questions about the future of design, the role of the architect, and the quality of algorithmically designed buildings.
